Our Team

Dr. Sahar Mahmoodpour founded Vision Gallery with a vision of combining advanced medical eye care with a refined, personalized patient experience. She is dedicated to providing exceptional eye care and premium eyewear in a warm, welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in their vision.


She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Houston before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2015. During her final year, she received extensive training in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye disease, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, and cataracts. She is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, committed to delivering high-quality clinical care and long-term vision health for her patients.


Dr. Mahmoodpour has a special passion for treating dry eye and ocular surface disease. She focuses on identifying the underlying cause of symptoms and providing advanced, customized treatments that offer lasting relief and improved quality of life. By combining modern diagnostic technology with personalized care, she ensures each patient receives the highest standard of treatment while building long-term relationships through education and preventative care


When she’s not in the office, Dr. Mah enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

Dr. Nguyen earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Psychology from Louisiana State University. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she graduated magna cum laude. During her clinical training, Dr. Nguyen received multiple recognitions for clinical excellence. She completed rotations in specialty contact lenses, surgical co-management, and both private and community-based practice settings.

At Vision Gallery, Dr. Nguyen is able to pursue her clinical interests in pediatric eye care, scleral lens fitting, and the diagnosis and management of dry eye disease. She is dedicated to helping patients achieve clear, comfortable vision while incorporating advanced technologies to support long-term ocular health.

Outside of the office, Dr. Nguyen enjoys hiking with her dog, practicing Pilates, and exploring Houston’s vibrant food scene.
